Canada's property records are mostly public. They are not, however, coordinated. Cadastral data is held by provincial land survey systems. Zoning is maintained by individual municipalities. Assessment values come from separate provincial agencies. Transaction records sit with land registries on yet another set of platforms. These sources are useful, but in practice no single interface puts them in front of the reader at once.

I work as a commercial appraiser in Saint John, New Brunswick. Reading parcel data is a small but regular part of the industry, and opening five or six government portals for one property is a steady source of friction. Treadwell started as a personal tool to reduce that friction. The first version covered New Brunswick and the layers I used in my own files. It has since grown to cover five provinces.

Treadwell is currently operated as a public utility. There is no subscription and no demo to schedule. The platform is hosted, maintained, and developed by me, at my own expense.

If a layer is missing, out of date, or incorrect, I would like to hear about it. Please find my information below to reach me directly.
